Nesting without laying a finger

When making a v60 or similar, the goal during the bloom for many people is to add the water and wet the coffee uniformly in a short amount of time.

To help achieve this, some people use a chopstick or the tip of a finger to create a nest shape so the center of the coffee is easier to wet.

Other people use a spoon to stir the coffee to achieve a good result.

Lately I’ve been using a spoon, but bent in such a way that pouring the coffee over it creates the nest shape without having to touch and potentially compact the coffee.

It seems to work fairly well, so I thought I’d share.
